Technical Analyst

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Application Administration, the Technical Analyst, Desktop Architecture will be responsible for the development, testing and implementation of the desktop hardware and software architectures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, select, integrate and test end user software
• Collaborate with law enforcement in the investigation of criminal offences involving Board systems
• Configure and assist in deployment of end user software
• Research/monitor desktop trends Conduct investigations and inappropriate usage by end users
• Extract relevant subset of process/technology architectures
• Develop end user software selection criteria
• Receive desktop assistance request and provide assistance
• Create administrative and academic images ,including building and testing via software distribution tools.
• Design of a safe and secure desktop environment for both administrative and academic users
• Define service level agreements with other groups in IT as well as the user community

Job Requirements:

• Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
• Understanding of industry best practices for cornerstone architecture
• Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines
• Proven ability in promoting equitable practices which value inclusiveness and diversity
• Project management and time management skills
• Centre Configuration Manager and their concepts
