Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description:

As a heavy equipment operator, you will have the opportunity to become a dedicated contributor to our oil sands mining operations operating ultra class haul trucks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in our Journey to Zero safety program by operating safely and driving to conditions
• Report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately
• Communicate updates to your supervisor to ensure that you meet all goals and objectives
• Follow our operating standards and procedures
• Operate various makes and models of haul trucks
• Complete walk-around, safety checks and field level risk assessments

Job Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or 10+ years of work experience
• At least one year experience with operating equipment (haul trucks, wiggle wagon, dozers, graders, excavators) in industries such as mining, civil earthworks, pipelines, sawmills, pulp and paper mills or manufacturing, or highway construction
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
