Consultant Learning

Job Description:

The Learning & Development Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing effective programs to promote learning and accelerate employee growth at all levels across the business. Success in this role requires high comfort interacting with Senior People Managers, Executives, other key internal stakeholders as well as external vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities in external training needs to accommodate employee’s learning needs
• Serve as a strategic learning consultant with the business.
• Facilitate leadership and manager trainings
• Continually evaluate learning programs to monitor and analyze effectiveness, to make recommendations for appropriate changes, and to update curriculum as needed.
• Effectively manage the centralized training budget while meeting the training requirements of all employees
• Drive a learning culture and promote available training opportunities to support clients’ learning needs
• Deliver just in time sessions to support leadership development
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and curate learning experiences to support leadership development
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess training needs and recommend/deliver learning solutions across the organization
• Oversee administrative tasks associated with all company training, ensuring all employee training records are updated in the Learning Management System (LMS)

Job Requirements:

• Adult education diploma, certificate, or degree with in-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, training methodologies and best practices
• 5+ years demonstrated ability applying adult learning practices in needs assessments, design, delivery, and evaluative methods.
• Skilled presenter and facilitator able to train-the-trainer and coach key stakeholders
• Post-secondary degree with preference given to Organizational Development, Learning & Development
• Experience in providing Leadership Development training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled at presenting to and influencing key stakeholders including leadership across the organization
