Solutions Architect

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Pension Products & Technology team in Toronto. You will be part of growing a product development team to deliver new and existing products and services for OMERS Pensions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing and coordinating cloud design, automation, and security to operate at scale
• Implementing OMERS Pensions cloud strategy and coordinating the adaptation process
• Establish best practices for the use of cloud and cloud platforms
• Collaborate with other Architects in solution architecture team to come up with solutions, flows, documents as well as work on technical evaluations with vendors
• Responsible for developing and publishing cloud & solution architecture diagrams/artifacts and present them to other teams/SMEs like Business stakeholders, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Product, Development and DevOps teams
• Work closely with the Product Owners and Business Leads to fully understand solution requirements, identify risks, and determine architectural patterns

Job Requirements:

• University degree Bachelor in the field of computer science, information systems with 7+ years of overall experience, and least 3 years of Cloud design, engineering and or architect responsibilities
• Hands-on experience with major Cloud providers’ infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and in hybrid cloud implementation and integration
• Ability to own architecture and influence strategic direction and vision for the future
