Job Description:
In this role you will be an objective business partner to Merchandising, Allocation Planning, and Merchandise Financial Planning to help deliver clear, thoughtful, fact-based business decisions. You will collaborate and influence these key cross functional partners to inform pre-season and in-season risks & opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- Familiarity with merchandise and forecasting management systems
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math; ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with management and external resources
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence others; efficiently communicate complex and/or sensitive topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
- 2 years additional experience in lieu of degree
- Ability to develop style level plans that support seasonal financial plans and enhance brand story-telling
- 3 years retail experience in merchandise planning, company planning, merchandising, allocations or store operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business or related subject area
- Experience working across multiple business platforms, including owned and partner businesses
- High level proficiency in Excel with a demonstrated history of developing tools and reports utilizing complex formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions
- Proven track record in retail, assortment and/or merchandising planning, inclusive of scenario planning across revenue, margin and inventory
- Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred
