Job Description:
The Director of Development position holds SDO’s accountable for achieving productivity standards, in addition to managing a personal pipeline of 100+ major gift prospects/donors.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or public relations
- CFRE designation is preferred
- Extensive experience in major gift ($25,000+) and transformational ($1,000,000+) level fundraising in a complex organization
- Minimum of five years progressively responsible senior-level leadership experience, with the proven ability to motivate a team and drive results
- Post-secondary fundraising experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with Raisers Edge database is an asset.
- Strong time management, project management, financial planning, and budgetary skills
- Required to adopt and apply the Association of Fundraising Professional code of ethics in daily practices
