Job Description:

The Director of Development position holds SDO’s accountable for achieving productivity standards, in addition to managing a personal pipeline of 100+ major gift prospects/donors.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or public relations
  • CFRE designation is preferred
  • Extensive experience in major gift ($25,000+) and transformational ($1,000,000+) level fundraising in a complex organization
  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible senior-level leadership experience, with the proven ability to motivate a team and drive results
  • Post-secondary fundraising experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Raisers Edge database is an asset.
  • Strong time management, project management, financial planning, and budgetary skills
  • Required to adopt and apply the Association of Fundraising Professional code of ethics in daily practices
