Community Policing Coordinator 1

Job Description:

Working in conjunction with the RCMP, you will be responsible for the development, promotion and implementation of community-based crime prevention and community policing programs within the City of Prince George. You will create and coordinate marketing strategies and public relations campaigns, manage program fundraising efforts and ensure community awareness of programs. This role provides financial and administrative support, and provides support for a broad range of special projects.

Job Requirements:

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to handle a demanding workload and effectively meet deadlines.
  • The successful candidate will hold a post-secondary diploma in business or a related discipline, including marketing and accounting courses, and have at least three years of related grant writing and administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of the police environment is considered an asset.
  • A superior communicator, you are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external clients.
  • As a condition of employment, incumbents must be able to obtain and maintain a RCMP Reliability Clearance.
