Bilingual Small Projects Planner

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Store Design team as a Bilingual Small Projects Planner. Based in Quebec and reporting to the Store Design Manager you will assist Home Hardware Dealers with the efficient coordination of various small-scale projects for implementation into their retail environments as it relates to the store design programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop departmental store fixture layouts within the store to achieve efficient customer traffic flow and store operations. Develop the product layout by assigning the appropriate location and space for categories and programs, following category management principles and processes.
• Support the Store Planners and other department stakeholders with store layouts, estimating and various store fixture orders. Assist with the promotion and implementation of Home’s Retail Program.
• Promote, coordinate, and implement the category management plans to Home Dealers in collaboration with Retail Operations and other HHSL departments to improve profitability and increase sales.
• Maintain the Category Management Space guides on a regular basis to support the category management initiatives and schedules.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (essential).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Retail and merchandising experience, familiarity with retail design concepts and Home’s internal processes are a definite asset.
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in project coordination, store planning or design.
• Through previous experience, accuracy and the attention to detail is a requirement for this position.
• College Diploma in Architectural Solutions, Construction.
• Must be willing and able to travel when required to store locations across Canada.
• Must have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and/or task deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
