Web Specialist

Job Description:

The role of the Web Specialist will be to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation and work seamlessly with internal stakeholders to improve usability for our customers, optimize web design for mobile and other platforms for maximum speed, and ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency throughout www.holtrenfrew.com.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write high quality HTML,CSS, and JavaScript that is easy to reuse and maintain
• Complies with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
• Build promotional content and deploy using SAP SmartEdit and various digital asset management tools
• Perform quality assurance in staging environment in multiple browsers/platforms before deploying to production environment
• Create web pages from graphic source files
• Partner with Copywriters, Designers, Merchandisers, Onboarding Team and the Web Production Team
• Update, maintain and revise existing online content
• Optimize content for accessibility and speed

Job Requirements:

• Proficient at implementing solutions that are user responsive and efficient
• Keen eye and understanding for layout aesthetics
• Post-secondary degree in a related field (i.e. Diploma in Computer Science with focus on Web Development) or equivalent experience
• Capable and efficient at implementing a resilient web architecture
• Knowledge of the entire web development process
• Great problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• 2+ years of direct work experience in an online production/development role
• Must have online portfolio showcasing experience and examples of HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and responsive design
