Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager will drive successful outcomes, influence forward-thinking management decisions and supports the overall success of Toronto Pearson.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support clients with the preparation of business cases and funding approval documents through consultations, recommendations, scope alternatives and related cost and schedule estimates
• Develop, monitor and maintain current and accurate financial forecasts and establish accruals for value of work
• Establish requirements for consultant and/or contractor selection, ensuring contracts contain complete scopes of work including all the anticipated services required
• Lead all aspects of the project’s lifecycle, from planning to closeout, ensuring adherence to the commitments on health and safety, budget, scope, quality, timeliness, sustainability, risk, strategic impact, and project results
• Establish comprehensive execution plans which outline all proposed project activities, resources, interfaces, risks, schedules, estimates and reporting procedures and priorities for the safe and successful delivery of projects
• Lead, direct and coordinate the activities of professional and technical staff assigned on a project basis

Job Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Business or a combination of education and experience
• 8+years of successful experience leading design and construction projects involving multiple partners
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent complex, high risk and/or multi-year projects from planning to implementation and close out, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Project Management Certification or Accreditation would be an asset
• Strong facilitation and negotiation skills with an outstanding personal drive and motivation
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels of management
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management software
