Job Description:
The IDO performs stakeholder engagement, scopes and conducts projects, and prepares strategic internal and external communications. This requires significant, problem solving, systems thinking, decision making, relationship development and business communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop networks by attending and presenting at conferences, seminars, or other relevant industry events.
- Recommend research and development partnerships between industry, academia, and government.
- Liaise with other divisions across the ministry and other levels of government to communicate market intelligence and industry needs in support of the development of programs to benefit Alberta businesses.
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships with targeted companies and industry associations to acquire industry knowledge and identify issues; explore potential growth and partnership opportunities.
