Job Description:
Our team provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) throughout the projects lifecycle, working in close collaboration with project stakeholders to create innovative, practical and buildable designs. We work with architects, contractors and other consultants in Canada and abroad. We help ensure our buildings are safe, secure, sustainable, efficient and habitable for all Global Affairs Canada employees.
Job Requirements:
- Experience developing Commissioning process for LEED projectsKnowledge of standards and codes relative to mechanical and fire protection systems for real property.
- A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years experience in the commissioning of mechanical systems such as Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), and life safety systems.
- Experience conducting quality assurance review and commissioning of mechanical and life safety systems.
- Post-secondary diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from a recognized college OR
- Experience in delivery of construction projects outside of Canada.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally.
- Provincial certification as a Mechanical Technologist and/or journeyman in the mechanical/refrigeration field.
- Experience managing technical staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Resourceful with the capacity to solve problems when not all information is easily accessible.
