Network Manager

Job Description:

As a Network Manager your key area of responsibility will be to provide strategic direction, oversee day-to-day activities, and manage all network driven project deliverables. The chosen leader will work with internal teams, management, and vendors to deliver, maintain and enhance our on-prem and cloud network capabilities in a secure manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of network engineers, a network architect and contractors
• Provide strategic direction, oversee day-to-day activities, and manage all network driven project deliverables
• Work directly with peers, senior leadership, team members from various Geotab departments and implement standardized network solutions across the landscape, both on-premises and multi-cloud platforms
• Responsible for network transformation – goals, roadmap, and delivery, to ensure the Geotab network enables enterprise productivity and aligns with strategic growth and cost optimization imperatives
• Serve as an operational escalation point for the Network Operations team
• Proven ability to lead an engineering team responsible for architecture, design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of physical, SD-WAN and cloud native solutions in a secure manner
• Ability to translate business requirements into low-level design criteria and facilitate collaborative engineering sessions that result in highly available network solutions

Job Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in as manager for network engineering function, specifically design, delivery and maintenance expertise
• 5-8 years experience managing and developing teams
• 4-year university degree or college diploma in computer studies or 8 years equivalent working experience within enterprise networking
