Job Description:
Reporting to the Director – Marketing & Trading, the Marketing & Optimization Representative plays an integral part in the Aitken Creek Gas Storage (ACGS) team
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent the requirements of ACGS through negotiation and execution of daily and term natural gas transactions
- Review fundamental and market information to assess, manage and mitigate transportation commitments
- Collaborate to develop medium term optimization opportunities
- Coordinating scheduling activities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, market participants and business partners
- Provide input and support the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans. Be a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance from a recognized program.
- 7+ years’ related industry experience in optimization of Western Canada energy market. Previous experience in physical gas trading required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, time constrained environment which includes quickly identifying market opportunities
- Demonstrated commercial negotiation skills
