Program Manager

Job Description:

The Program Manager, reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Creative Industries, is accountable for overseeing curriculum, degree audits, faculty workloads, faculty scheduling, staffing, and evaluation of programs and services offered by the Schools of Contemporary Media and Design. The Manager is responsible for the effective operation and delivery of courses/programs within the Schools of Contemporary Media and Design by working closely with the Associate Deans, program coordinators, professors and support staff within the Schools as well as other College employees and external stakeholders and partners.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an academic setting and/or business management experience
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
• Project/operational management, leadership and supervisory skills
• Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree or equivalent work experience in related fields
• Related experience within an academic setting including post-secondary teaching and/or curriculum management
• Supervisory experience would be an asset
• Ability to foster a team-based approach to operational planning and problem-solving
• Master’s degree in a related field and/or B.Ed. or M.Ed. is an asset
• Must have excellent interpersonal and organization skills, computer skills
• Demonstrated administrative background including budget responsibilities and supervisory responsibilities
• Demonstrated management ability with excellent problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills
