Computer Lab Technologist

Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean, School of Information Technology, the incumbent supports professors and students in the ongoing activities of the School of Information Technology student lab environments.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of computer lab systems
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor a variety of activities
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
• Post-secondary 3 year diploma in a computer-related discipline with an emphasis on the support of personal computers, software and local networks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum 3 years experience gained in a computer technical support environment performing network administration, hardware/software setup, configuration and support
