As a Payroll Analyst with Canadian Natural, you will make a significant contribution by bringing your experience and enthusiasm to administering payroll for all employees. You will demonstrate your ability to adapt to the processes and functionality of Canadian Natural’s HR systems, allowing you to gain exposure to a diverse spectrum of areas. By applying your strong problem solving skills to complex and challenging payroll processes, you will excel at service delivery while interfacing with clients and employees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage elements of the payroll cycle on a rotating basis or as assigned
- Administer payroll on a bi-weekly basis for salaried and hourly employees with varying degrees of complexity
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the payroll function within the company and respond to employee and department enquiries as they relate to payroll
- Assist the Payroll Leads and other HR staff in payroll and benefits areas where required
- Investigate, review and recommend enhancements for process changes
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of related experience with High School Diploma or GED
- Expertise in current legislation related to payroll and employment standards
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) (completed or in progress) considered an asset
- Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Oracle HCM Cloud and UKG (Kronos) and the impact of stock based compensation on payroll considered an asset
