Job Description:
The Director of Communications and Marketing brings expertise and innovation to leading the development and implementation of comprehensive and integrated communication strategies that support The Study’s revenue and community relations objectives as well as the complete information needs of the school community
Job Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Communications Officer, design, build and maintain the school’s social media presence (Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube), curate school-wide social media content, develop new and creative growth strategies.
- Develop content strategy and oversee the development of The Study website; ensure overall quality, effectiveness of digital marketing communications and production of multimedia content, liaise with internal IT department and external agencies to optimize the user experience.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Advancement and the Director of Admissions in the development of multi-channel, forward-thinking communications and marketing strategies in support of the school’s advancement and fund-raising goals and enrollment goals.
- Develop customer insights, gather and interpret internal data and external market research, including competitive insights, design and analyze qualitative and quantitative primary research with internal constituencies in order to advise the senior leadership team of challenges and opportunities.
- Oversee public relations and media relations activities including cultivating media contacts, garnering media coverage that protects and promotes a positive mission-appropriate reputation in the community.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of proven expertise in communication, public relations, marketing & branding.
- Proven ability to collaborate and team build with colleagues representing a diverse range of expertise.
- Experience with a wide variety of advertising channels, media buying, printing options and promotional opportunities.
- Ability to write and evaluate creative communication for print advertising/publications, and digital social media.
- Experience in providing strategic communications counsel to senior stakeholders, a strong sense of professional judgment.
