Job Description:

The Student Events & Activities Assistant works in a team environment to promote and enhance student life and community through a variety of programming initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration of volunteers for special events, working within guidelines set by Facility Co-ordinator
  • Submit reports relating to planning, execution, and utilization
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of facility programming and special events under the direction of the Facility Co-ordinator

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
  • Experience in volunteer or event management is an asset
  • Ability to work courteously with the public
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Moderate-advanced skills and judgment
  • Detail-oriented, strong oral and written skills
  • Working hours may include day, evening or weekend shifts, as needed
  • Preference given to current Brandon University student
