Programming Assistant

Job Description:

Build out and schedule program content in web CMS (content management system) to display Crave programming across multiple platforms (site, mobile apps, connected devices)

Job Responsibilities:

• Input and manage SEO for Crave programming
• Assist in the management of YouTube copyright settings for Crave Original programming
• Source, create and input metadata into CMS
• Managing the addition of trailers and video extras on to the various platforms
• Upload images and create video profiles in Video CMS
• Liaising with the product development team on new feature staging and CMS / display troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot content display issues
• Build out collection rotators and implement other visual changes to the layout of the Crave site and apps
• Assist with the curation and brainstorming of new thematic and timely collections
• Liaising with the Crave French language programming team to coordinate features and shared asset deployment

Job Requirements:

• Experience in SEO is an asset.
• Familiarity with IBMS, Axis, ACE, Micro Strategies and/or other scheduling and broadcasting software is an asset but not required
• Candidates with a passion for and knowledge of television, film and pop culture are valued
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, a clear communicator and comfortable interacting with external and internal senior and junior staff members
• Ability to work well under pressure, possess excellent time management skills, be a self-starter, multi-task and meet assigned deadlines
• A keen interest in and knowledge of the Canadian OTT and traditional television landscape is an asset.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a web CMS system either at a broadcaster or at a content-based online service (site/app)
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in digital media, digital publishing or television preferred
• Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
